Flashing a modem on your Android phone is easy with a computer software called Odin. Oden allows you to flash custom ROMs (Read Only Memory) without waiting for official updates. It's important to understand than when modifying anything on your phone, you are doing so at your own risk.

1Download a modem you want to flash on your phone. A modem is a specific file for your particular phone and carrier per region. Look around for a list of modems for your phone and your region’s carriers.
- You can do a Google search with “[your phones model] [your carrier and your region] modem download.”
- Sites like XDA Developers or reputable Android forums are recommended if they pop up in the results.

2Download and install Odin. Odin is a freeware that’s ideal for flashing Android devices. You can download the latest version through their main download page:http://odindownload.com/Ad

1Put your phone on "Download" mode. Once you’ve got the modem and have installed Odin, you need to put your phone in download mode. The process depends on your phone’s model and brand, so do a quick Google search about how to put your specific model in Download mode.

2Plug in your phone to a computer. Using your phone’s USB cord, plug it into your computer.

3Launch Odin. It should display a windows with a cell on the left with “COM” on it; it should also show a couple of number and parentheses, and is colored yellow. This means that your phone is detected by Odin.

4Flash the modem. Click on "Phone" and choose the modem file you downloaded. Click on "Start" and wait for the process to finish.
