Computing hardware would have no value without software; software tells hardware what to do. Software therefore must have special authority within computing systems. All computer security problems stem from that fact, and Exploiting Software: How to Break Code shows you how to design your software so it's as resistant as possible to attack. Sure, everything's phrased in offensive terms (as instructions for the attacker, that is), but this book has at least as much value in showing designers what sorts of attacks their software will face (the book could serve as a checklist for part of a pre-release testing regimen). Plus, the clever reverse-engineering strategies that Greg Hoglund and Gary McGraw teach will be useful in many legitimate software projects. Consider this a recipe book for mayhem, or a compendium of lessons learned by others. It depends on your situation.
PHP programmers will take issue with the authors' blanket assessment of their language ("PHP is a study in bad security"), much of which seems based on older versions of the language that had some risky default behaviors--but those programmers will also double-check their servers' register_globals settings. Users of insufficiently patched Microsoft and Oracle products will worry about the detailed attack instructions this book contains. Responsible programmers and administrators will appreciate what amounts to documentation of attackers' rootkits for various operating systems, and will raise their eyebrows at the techniques for writing malicious code to unused EEPROM chips in target systems. --David Wall

Techniques--including reverse engineering, buffer overflow, and particularly provision of unexpected input--are covered along with the tools needed to carry them out. MagicISO Maker v5.5 + Serial

A software that enables you to create, edit and burn ISO files.
The program has a user-friendly interface in which you can easily navigate, thanks to the Explorer-based layout.
In order to create an ISO file, all you have to do is add files to the queue (by using the "drag and drop" method), configure properties, select the compression method and save results as an ISO or UIF file (in the latter case, you can also enable password protection).
In the "Properties" menu, you can edit the "Label", "ISO" (e.g. CD file system, file/directory names length, volume serial number) and "Optimize" settings.
Furthermore, you can rename the volume, files and folders, as well as create a bootable CD/DVD image, UDF CD/DVD image, Hybrid or Unix/Linux CD/DVD image, audio, video, Super Video or Xbox CD/DVD image.
But you can also compress a CD/DVD image, decompress an UIF image, convert files to the ISO, CUE or NRG format, make a multi-boot image, or create a boot image from a floppy disk.
In the “Configuration” settings, you can enable shell integration, set UIF as the default CD/DVD format, set file associations, as well as change audio options and virtual CD/DVD drive options.
MagicISO Maker uses a moderate amount of system resources, comes with a well-drawn user documentation (includes tutorials with snapshots), completes a task in a reasonable amount of time and did not cause me any problems during my tests.
The application may not be as powerful as other more popular similar products, but I recommend you give MagicISO Maker a shot.

Installation is very smooth and fast, but the interface is not as satisfying: PhotoShine is far from impressive when it comes to the way it looks, as the whole interface seems old-fashioned and somewhat childish. In all fairness, it is meant to be intuitive enough to encourage both beginners and experts to operate it, but some might argue that it is a little bit too simplistic.
Considering its purpose is to enhance photos via templates, Photoshine rises to one's expectations. There are several categories that one can choose from, depending on the occasion they have in mind. While it is not possible to adjust the actual templates, one can resize, flip or rotate the images as they see fit.
Additionally, they can modify the brightness, saturation and contrast to their liking, along with apply some basic effects like black-and-white or sketch. In the end, a creative design can be obtained without too much effort on the user's side, especially since some of these templates support several images so as to produce a nice-looking scrapbook.
Not only are you prevented from modifying the templates per se, by customizing the texts, images or colors, you are also stuck with the ones offered by the developer, as there is no option to create one's own templates.
The conclusion is quite simple: PhotoShine is a simple tool that is appropriate for those who want to place a photo over another, but experienced users who are searching for professional editing tools I advise you to keep on looking.

A program that you can use to design your own posters for recreational or professional purposes.
The interface of the application is familiar and easy to navigate through. You can start a new project from scratch or by selecting a template (e.g. funny, holiday, event, party, business, propaganda, kids).
So, you can use basic graphic editing tools, such as add text, insert images and clipart, as well as draw a line, rounded rectangle, ellipse or freehand.
In addition, you can configure background properties (e.g. use image or filling) and drawing settings (e.g. use outline and filling, keep aspect ratio, adjust opacity).
Furthermore, you can use the undo, redo, cut, copy and paste functions, save a project as template, set the document size (width, height and DPI), group or ungroup objects, bring items to front or send them to back, rotate and flip objects or make them the same size, zoom in and out, disable toolbars, and more.
The simplistic graphic editing tool requires a moderate amount of system resources, includes a well-drawn help file with snapshots for beginners and has a very good response time. An error popped up several times during my tests, when I tried using the redo function. Other than that, I suggest you test RonyaSoft Poster Designer for yourself to see if it matches your preferences.

DriverGuide Toolkit v2.0 + Serial

A very disregarded and yet extremely important part of your computer is represented by drivers. Their purpose is that of controlling a particular type of device that is attached to your computer. The good thing is that you do not have to install the drivers for all hardware components installed on your computer as the operating system incorporates a large part of them.
With the new OS from Microsoft, it has been awfully difficult to find matching drivers for your hardware components. It seemed as if manufacturers were taken by surprise and did not have the necessary time to adapt the software components for the hardware. Fortunately, things have settled and this problem is less and less of a thorn.
Although not too many users care about having the latest drivers installed, renovating the list is quite beneficial for your computer as operating system features are taken advantage of and issues are being fixed. I generally forget to take care of this aspect and remember only when I need to install a device all over again.

In the lower part of driver list, there is the Device Information tab providing details on the selected item. You will be shown info about hardware ID, manufacturer, version number, driver size, date of driver release, class, device ID, location information etc.
System Information tab provides details on BIOS, IDE Controller, Motherboard, Processor, System Cache and Temperature Probe. If Device Information tab is open, when clicking anywhere inside System Information window DriverGuide Toolkit will crash and close automatically. The issue is present both under Vista and XP.
As DriverGuide Toolkit has network capabilities, you can use the application to connect and disconnect from remote computers and work with the program as if Toolkit were installed remotely. However, this feature is not supported under Vista and XP Home Edition. Applied to XP Pro edition, the function allows you to retrieve all the information on both drivers and system as if it had the software installed.
